Job ratio: 50% new business development and 50% maintaining existing business.
Market aggressively and take proactive actions to create new business opportunities.
Maintain current customers and manage daily tasks efficiently.
Control and manage trading material stock inventory.
Attend to customer enquiries and provide sales services.
Prepare quotations and liaise with customers on pricing matters.
Follow up with customers on payment issues.
Source suitable suppliers for the purchase of trading materials.
Evaluate supplier performance to ensure purchased products meet customer requirements.
Check customer and supplier P/Os for trade terms, payment terms, pricing, and lead time accuracy.
Follow up with customers on any issues, including handling customer complaints.
Take proactive actions to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
Minimum 5 years of Sales and Business Development experience in both commodity plastics (PP, PS, PE) and engineering plastics (ABS, SAN, ASA, PC/ABS, POM, PBT, etc.).
Basic knowledge of plastic distribution business models, with strong technical knowledge and industry connections.
Diploma or Degree qualification.
Able to lead a field-level team.
Demonstrates expertise in multiple functional areas.
Ability to coach and guide junior staff.
Willing to travel to Batam and Johor Bahru to support existing customers, and to developing countries in the future due to business expansion.
