We are seeking a
Sales Proposal Engineer (Aftermarket) to drive aftermarket sales and support business growth within the energy and power generation sector. This role works closely with internal teams, customers, and vendors to identify, develop, quote, and close opportunities for turnkey projects, parts, services, and maintenance.
The ideal candidate is commercially driven, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple opportunities while delivering competitive proposals with the right scope, pricing, and contractual terms.
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, quote, and close aftermarket sales opportunities to meet annual sales targets
- Prepare competitive commercial proposals including scope, cost calculations, pricing, and contractual terms
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and legal to review contracts, risks, and deviations
- Conduct commercial risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies
- Negotiate with customers and vendors on scope, price, and terms & conditions
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and key stakeholders
- Provide regular sales updates on status, progress, and strategy
- Support project and service execution teams as required
- Contribute to service strategy development, process improvement, and business expansion initiatives
- Support marketing activities and monitor competitor and market trends
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 25 years of experience, preferably in the Energy or Power Generation industry
- Proven experience in aftermarket tendering, proposal preparation, cost estimation, and negotiations
- Good understanding of contractual terms & conditions and INCOTERMS
- Knowledge of gas turbines, generators, steam turbines, boilers, and related services
- Strong communication, customer management, and stakeholder coordination skills
- Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Up-to-date knowledge of energy market trends
