The Salesman for an FMCG distributor is responsible for promoting and selling products to retailers, wholesalers, and other clients within an assigned territory. This role requires maintaining strong customer relationships, achieving sales targets, ensuring proper product placement, and handling orders efficiently. The candidate must have a keen understanding of market trends and consumer needs to drive revenue growth for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and establish new sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers to ensure continued business.
- Promote and sell FMCG products to retailers, supermarkets, and other clients.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets as set by the management.
- Monitor stock levels, ensure proper product display, and coordinate timely deliveries.
- Negotiate prices and terms of sales agreements with customers.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, customer interactions, and inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Meet and negotiate with suppliers in India, require 4 - 6 travels to India
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Minimum of a secondary school education a diploma in sales, marketing, or business is preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in FMCG sales or a similar role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to negotiate and close sales deals effectively.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and sales tracking software (Zoho).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
