Role Description:
This position reports to the Director. The training plan is designed to foster a high-performance culture that prioritizes Retail Operations Management, Customer Service Excellence, Sales Performance & Strategy, Inventory & Stock Management, Financial Management, Conflict Resolution & Customer Loyalty & Visual Merchandising
Specific Responsibilities:
Individual to be involved in:
1. The trainee will develop the skills to efficiently manage daily store operations and gain confidence in handling customer interactions and core store functions.
2. The trainee will effectively manage customer inquiries, complaints, and returns, while also starting to implement in-store promotions aimed at boosting sales.
3. The trainee will focus on refining sales strategies and learn to adjust approaches based on performance insights and customer behavior patterns
4. The trainee will proficiently track and manage inventory, minimizing stock-outs, and begin ordering products according to sales trends and customer demand.
5. The trainee will create and oversee the store's operational budget, while also monitoring expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
6. The trainee will enhance customer satisfaction and retention, while reducing complaints, through effective training and resolution of customer issues.
7. The trainee will drive in-store sales by improving product visibility and creating engaging displays that enhance the overall customer experience.
Competencies:
1. The training will cover store layout, basic inventory management, and retail operations procedures, with an emphasis on effective communication with staff and customers, and an introduction to customer service expectations and policies.
2. The training will focus on customer service skills, including handling complaints and returns, merchandising, and in-store promotions. The trainee will learn to build rapport with customers to improve service quality and understand its impact on sales and retention.
3. The training will teach setting sales goals and tracking performance using basic metrics like customer foot traffic, while developing skills in sales strategy creation and problem-solving when targets are missed.
4. The training will cover manual inventory management, including stocktaking, ordering, and supply chain basics. The trainee will also learn stock organization, replenishment, and demand forecasting.
5. The training will focus on budgeting, cost control, and resource optimization. The trainee will learn budgeting and financial forecasting without POS data, making financial decisions based on store performance.
6. The training will teach handling escalated customer complaints, enhancing customer loyalty, and developing conflict resolution skills. The trainee will also learn to train staff in handling complex customer situations.
7. The training will focus on creating impactful store displays and optimizing product placement. The trainee will develop skills in visual merchandising to enhance the shopping experience and align displays with consumer behavior.

5. Approved Training Allowance: Mature Mid-Career Individuals - $3,100
