We are looking for a passionate and driven individual to join our Packaging Materials Division. This is a client-facing role that bridges customer needs, supplier coordination, and strategic business growth. Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service & Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with customer contacts in Purchasing, Marketing, Production, R&D, and QC.
- Visit customers regularly to understand their needs, discuss new projects, and support product quality discussions.
- Introduce and present new packaging solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and value.
Supplier Management & Coordination
- Visit suppliers weekly and work closely with them on raw materials, production, QC, packing, and delivery.
- Coordinate the artwork development process, including liaising with artists and suppliers, colour proofing, and approvals.
- Draft and confirm product specifications from sample stage through to mass production.
- Lead weekly and monthly supplier meetings, and maintain close communication with internal teams.
Sales Operations & Reporting
- Develop and implement annual sales plans and submit monthly sales forecasts.
- Prepare and manage commercial documents (will supported by Sales Administrators): costing sheets, quotations, POs, invoices, proforma invoices, etc.
- Monitor production and QC data to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Coordinate shipping and logistics (will supported by Sales Administrators): track cargo readiness, arrange shipment bookings, compare freight options, and update customers on vessel schedules.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and follow up where necessary.
- Submit sales reports for internal management review.
Strategic Projects & Expansion
- Monitor raw material markets and negotiate with suppliers to maintain price competitiveness.
- Source new materials, suppliers, and clients to support business growth and innovation.
- Conduct annual or ad-hoc supplier audits, especially during critical claim investigations.
- Collaborate with Japan HQ and ASEAN HQ on regional projects.
Travel & Site Visits
- Conduct day trips to Johor Bahru for on-site printing inspections and production supervision.
- Participate in overseas business trips to strengthen supplier and customer relationships.
You Should Be Willing To:
- Travel regionally (e.g. Johor Bahru and other ASEAN countries)
- Visit customers and suppliers regularly
- Work cross-functionally across departments and with international teams and
- Drive for work purposes (valid Class 3 driving licence is required).
