The South East Asia (SEA) WI Sales Manager will be responsible to win new business projects and accounts to grow the company's South East Asia market share within the wastewater and water business in the municipal, infrastructure and Industry segment.

  • The candidate will be leveraging on the strong range of products under the Water Infrastructure- Transport Division (e.g. Flygt submersible pumps) and focus on value-selling to the targeted customers to continue growing the range of leading brands within the business division.
  • Responsible to lead assigned Application Engineer, Sales Support and Service Engineers to prepare, submit timely and win contract tender bids.
  • Responsible for business development by strategically identifying potential areas of new business and penetration of new markets.
  • Provide company with market intelligence information such as competitors sales techniques or promotions, market trends, products and services.
  • Work closely with a diverse functional team including Business Leadership, Commercial, Application Engineering, Customer Service, Finance, Project Management and Field Services.
  • Exceed assigned Sales Targets e.g. Orders, Revenue, Margin).
  • Drive Value-Selling and Value propositions to targeted clients.
  • Build up a healthy sales funnel and provide accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly forecasts for financial reporting.
  • Plan, develop and implement strategies on Direct and Indirect sales of Xylem products and services in assigned segment & territories.
  • Plan and execute market segmentation.
  • Market actively new products and create strong awareness of all accounts to attain market leadership position through segment positioning and strategic price management.
  • Gain access to market intelligence about competitor's products and services and market trends; providing competitive product, commercial, and market feedback to the Company
  • Increase Water Infrastructure- Transport Division market share.
  • Establish and nurture customer relationships (e.g. distributors, contractors, consultant) for the region, and influence key decision makers and influence specifications.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Process, Industrial)
  • Advantageous with a technical Master's Degree (Engineering/Finance/MBA)

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 10 years of technical and commercial experience in Water, Wastewater, Energy and Process industries.
  • Highly Independent and self-motivated in a fast-paced, matrixed and large International Multi-National Company (MNC) organization.
  • High level of competency in CRM system and funnels management (e.g. Salesforce).
  • Experience in achieving sales target commitments.
  • Customer-focused and ability to priorities on impactful stakeholders and projects.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Value-Selling focus.
  • Excellent Contract Negotiation skills.
  • Hunter mentality for new business.
  • Sales presentation and training skills.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Analytical thinking skills.
  • Additional ability in one or more South East Asia Languages will be an advantage.
  • Willingness to accept up to 50% Business Travel within the region.
