Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets for marine Fire Fighting Equipment (FFE) and Life Saving Appliances (LSA) services.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with shipowners, ship management companies, shipyards, offshore companies, and marine contractors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including vessel operators, technical managers, fleet managers, and procurement teams.
- Promote the company's FFE and LSA inspection, servicing, maintenance, repair, and certification services to the maritime industry.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and service agreements, including follow-up and negotiation to secure orders.
- Coordinate with operations and technical teams to ensure smooth execution of servicing and inspection works.
- Follow up on vessel servicing schedules, renewal requirements, and regulatory compliance needs to generate recurring business opportunities.
- Maintain awareness of maritime regulations, classification requirements, and industry standards related to FFE and LSA.
- Develop long-term partnerships with customers and provide excellent after-sales support.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business growth.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and updates for management review.
- Represent the company at marine exhibitions, customer meetings, and industry networking events.
- Perform other sales and business development duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Business, Marine Engineering, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years of sales or business development experience, preferably in the marine industry.
- Experience in Fire Fighting Equipment (FFE), Life Saving Appliances (LSA), marine safety equipment, or ship servicing industry is highly preferred.
- Established network with shipowners, ship management companies, shipyards, offshore companies, or marine contractors.
- Knowledge of vessel safety requirements, marine regulations, and certification processes is an advantage.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple customer accounts, and achieve sales targets.
- Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in:
- Annual inspection and servicing of FFE & LSA equipment
- SOLAS and marine safety compliance requirements
- Lifeboat, life raft, fire extinguisher, breathing apparatus, fire suppression systems, and related marine safety equipment
- Working with shipowners, ship managers, and shipyards
will have an added advantage.
