Purpose of Job
This position is responsible for planning, monitoring, control and management of the overall territory performance and budget.
Holder of this position is responsible for the development and execution of sales and trade plans as well as the management of trade budget to ensure that the agreed target and other trade objectives are achieved by the sales team. In addition, he/she will appraise, motivate and monitor the overall performance of each individual members of the sales team.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Work with Business Manager to develop plans to achieve organisation's profitability.
2. Work with Business Manager to achieve the company's monthly performance indicators set by Principal.
3. Work with Principal's staff to develop plans to achieve targets, goals and objectives.
4. Work with Principal's staff to establish the trade budget and thereafter manages it independently.
5. Monitor sales achievement relative to objectives on a daily basis and initiate programs as necessary to ensure achievement of sales target.
6. Identify and pursue opportunities for new business within trade.
7. Develop close rapport with the trade and key customers.
8. Conduct regular trade visits with subordinates.
9. Establish and maintain close working relationship with subordinates and other internal stakeholders.
10. Train, mentor, develop and motivate subordinates.
11. Ensure that proper credit control management is being practiced by subordinate.
12. Maintain general sales administration and accountabilities.
13. Summarize monthly sales performance for Business Manager
14. Review subordinate's work for accuracy and adherence to policies.
15. Perform other work related duties as assigned by management.
