The Sales Department focuses on building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering tailored solutions across iO3's product and connectivity portfolio. The team works closely with internal stakeholders across technical, operations, and delivery functions to support the full sales cycle, from initial engagement through to close and account growth.
The Sales Manager / Sales Executive reports to the Sales Director and is responsible for driving revenue growth through proactive client engagement and effective account management. The role involves developing new business, maintaining existing relationships, preparing commercial proposals, and representing iO3 at customer meetings and industry events.
Candidates with prior experience in maritime, satellite communications, telecommunications, or technology sales are preferred. Candidates from adjacent industries with a strong sales track record and an interest in maritime technology are also welcome to apply.
1. Sales & Business Development
. Identify and develop new business opportunities with vessel operators, ship managers, fleet owners, and maritime companies.
. Manage and grow assigned customer accounts, with a focus on retention and expansion.
. Participate in customer meetings, vessel visits, and industry events to promote iO3's solutions and build relationships.
. Monitor market developments and customer needs to support pipeline development and strategic positioning.
2. Proposal & Commercial Support
. Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and commercial presentations in coordination with the technical and delivery teams.
. Translate customer requirements into clear commercial inputs for internal evaluation and solution design.
. Ensure alignment between customer expectations, pricing, and internal delivery capabilities.
. Support negotiation of commercial terms and assist in contract finalization.
3. Account Management & Customer Engagement
. Build and maintain strong working relationships with key contacts across assigned accounts.
. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring follow-through on commitments and timely resolution of issues.
. Gather customer feedback and communicate relevant insights to internal teams for continuous improvement.
. Respond promptly to customer enquiries and coordinate with internal stakeholders to maintain service quality.
4. Sales Operations
. Maintain accurate pipeline records, activity logs, and sales forecasts to support business planning.
. Work with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, finance, and support to ensure smooth execution of customer commitments.
. Contribute to improving sales processes, proposal quality, and overall responsiveness.
Requirements
. Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in a sales orcustomer-facing role.
. Prior experience in maritime, satellitecommunications, telecommunications, or technology sales is preferred.
. Good communication and interpersonal skills,with the ability to engage customers at various levels.
. Organised and able to manage multiple accountsand tasks concurrently.
. Self-motivated with a proactive approach toidentifying and following up on opportunities.
. Comfortable learning technical products andtranslating them into clear customer conversations.
. Diploma or Degree in Business, Engineering,Maritime Studies, IT, or a related field.
. Proficiency in English required knowledge ofMandarin or Bahasa is an advantage.
