Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a Sales Manager to drive business growth in Singapore within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling process technology machinery, engineering services, and after-sales services (technical support). This role requires a strong technical foundation and proven experience in managing solution-based sales cycles.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Promote, present, and sell industrial equipment, tailored solutions, and engineering services to pharmaceutical customers (private and government sectors).
  • Drive new business opportunities and ensure sustainable growth through proactive sales initiatives.
  • Participate actively in industry events, exhibitions, and networking platforms to increase market presence.

Market Research & Strategy

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify opportunities, competitive positioning, and evolving customer needs.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, trends, and technologies to support strategic sales planning.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships with key accounts in Singapore.
  • Conduct regular client visits, assess requirements, and design solutions that meet technical and commercial needs.
  • Provide risk assessments and ensure high customer satisfaction through consultative selling.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal engineering, service, and technical teams to design end-to-end solutions.
  • Contribute to local marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (mandatory).
  • Proven experience in selling projects/services within the pharmaceutical industry (mandatory).
  • Minimum of 5 years B2B sales experience with a strong industrial or life sciences background.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in selling process technology, machinery, or after-sales/engineering services is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • IT-savvy, with proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce CRM.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to travel locally and occasionally internationally.

  • This is a newly created role focused exclusively on the Singapore market.
  • Attractive base salary with performance-based commission structure.
