Job Description

Job Overview:

Poddo is a fast-growing laundry capsule brand. We have successfully secured listings in major premium and mass retail channels, including Cold Storage, Giant, Don Don Donki, Meidi-Ya, and Tokyu Hands.

We are not looking for a traditional sales executive who just follows instructions. We are seeking a proactive, highly strategic, and result-oriented Offline Retail Lead who can take full ownership of our brick-and-mortar business. You will be responsible for diagnosing current sales bottlenecks, proposing actionable retail strategies, and driving sell-through independently. You don't wait for directions-you bring solutions and growth plans to us.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Ownership: Analyze current sales performance across Cold Storage, Giant, Donki, Meidi-Ya, and Tokyu Hands. Identify root causes for low performance and formulate immediate turn-around plans.

  • Proactive Account Management: Build strong, active relationships with Category Buyers and Store Managers. Do not just maintain accounts-actively pitch for better shelf placement, secondary displays (end-caps, cross-merchandising), and exclusive promotional slots.

  • Data-Driven Proposals: Review inventory levels and sales data regularly. Propose and execute ROI-driven promotional calendars, trade marketing activities, and sampling campaigns tailored to different supermarket demographics (e.g., mass vs. premium Japanese ex-pat consumers).

  • Competitor & Market Intelligence: Constantly monitor competitor pricing, packaging, and store activations. Provide regular strategic feedback and recommendations to management on how Poddo can win on the shelves.

  • End-to-End Execution: From negotiating promotional terms with buyers to ensuring the stocks are beautifully displayed at the store level-take 100% accountability for the entire offline sales cycle.

Requirements (Who We Are Looking For):

  • Experience: 1-3 years of solid sales/KA management experience in the FMCG sector, specifically managing premium supermarkets (DFI Group, Donki, or Japanese retail chains is highly preferred).

  • Problem Solver (Self-Driven): Proven track record of turning around underperforming retail accounts. You must be someone who naturally looks for ways to improve sales and presents clear action plans to management.

  • Strong Negotiation Skills: Deep understanding of supermarket trade terms, rebates, listing fees, and how to negotiate promotional support without eroding brand margin.

  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to read sales numbers, forecast demand, and prevent both out-of-stock and over-stock situations.

  • Language & Communication: Fluent in English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with business owners, corporate buyers, and ground-level store supervisors.
