Job Description

Job Summary

The FCL Sales Head is responsible for leading and driving the sales strategy for the FCL business. The role focuses on developing new FCL customers, expanding volume, maximizing profitability, and managing customer relationships. The person will lead the sales team, work closely with operations, pricing, and trade management, and be accountable for P and L performance.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

1. Customer and Partner Management
. Build strong relationships with customers, shipping lines, and partners
. Serve as the senior escalation point for key accounts
. Provide tailored FCL solutions and maintain high customer satisfaction

2. Team Leadership
. Lead and develop the FCL sales team
. Set KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and support a high performing sales culture

3. Cross Functional Collaboration
. Work with operations, customer service, and trade or procurement to ensure smooth shipment execution
. Provide market insights to support product and operations planning

4. Market and Competitive Intelligence
. Track market trends, carrier capacity, price changes, and competitor activity
. Adjust sales strategies and solutions based on market developments

5. Reporting and Financial Control
. Manage P and L for the FCL business
. Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and business reviews
. Implement initiatives to improve margins and manage costs

6. Risk and Compliance
. Ensure compliance with trade regulations and company policies
. Manage commercial, operational, and credit risks in sales activities

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field. A master's degree is an advantage
  2. Relevant experience in NVOCC or freight forwarding
  3. Positive attitude and self motivated
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  5. Intermediate proficiency in computer applications
