Job Description

Our client is a key player in the Marine Industry. Currently, they are seeking a sales driven individual to join them as Sales Executive or Manager (Marine)(For Onshore and Offshore Sectors).

In this role, you will be contributing in the following areas :

  • Product involved : Valves for Marine/Non-Marine Onshore and Offshore
  • Manage customer enquiries, prepare quotations and coordinate orders efficiently
  • Maintain strong client relationships and actively generate new business in the onshore & offshore sectors such as: refineries, oil rigs, pharmaceuticals, parfum, food industries, oil & gas etc through client visits, relationship building while expanding the companys market presence
  • Prepare accurate quotations based on technical specifications
  • Follow up on leads, enquiries and quotations to secure orders
  • Identify and develop new customers, projects and opportunities
  • Promote company products and solutions to clients
  • Expand market share in marine, onshore/offshore and industrial sectors for products such as valve
  • Negotiate pricing and close sales
  • Achieve individual sales targets
  • Liaise with suppliers/principals for technical clarifications
  • Ensure compliance with required certifications (ABS, DNV etc)
  • Order processing & Coordination
  • Maintain CRM/customer database
  • Track pricing trends & competitor activities
  • Support sales campaigns and reporting

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Marine or Business or other related field
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant sales experience in Marine, Onshore/Offshore preferred e.g FPSO, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Parfum, Refinery, Oil Rig etc
  • Knowledge of valves/actuators will be a definite asset but not a must. Product training will be provided
  • Possess excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and coordination skills
  • Strong in relationship building and networking
  • Fast response & a multi-tasker
  • Possess a customer-focused mindset
  • A self-starter with strong commercial acumen
  • Always sensitive to market demand and customer trends
