Job Description

Responsibilities:

Relationship and Account Management

  • Building Client Relationships: Developing trust with prospective and existing buyers to understand their long-term business needs.
  • Providing Customer Service: Acting as the primary point of contact for client queries, resolving complaints, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction. This role includes participation in a 24/7 customer support on-call rotation as part of the team.
  • Managing After-Sales Support: Conducting follow-up calls to ensure customers are happy with their purchase, which often leads to repeat business or referrals.

Generating Leads and Prospecting

  • Identifying potential customers through research and customer visits.
  • Presenting and Demonstrating Products: Tailoring pitches and live demonstrations to show how a product or service solves a specific prospect's problems.
  • Negotiating and Closing Deals: Handling objections and negotiating terms, pricing, and contracts to reach mutually beneficial agreements while protecting company margins.
  • Meeting Sales Targets: Consistently striving to meet or exceed specific monthly, quarterly, or annual revenue quotas set by management.

Strategic and Administrative Tasks

  • Conducting Market Research: Monitoring competitor pricing, products, and industry trends to refine sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
  • Maintaining CRM Systems: Accurately logging all client interactions, sales figures, and pipeline updates in software like Salesforce or HubSpot.
  • Producing Sales Reports: Creating regular performance reports and forecasting future sales progress for senior management.
  • Liaising with Internal Teams: Collaborating with technical and finance to align messaging and ensure order fulfillment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Proven track record in sales, preferably in Marine or related industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with resilience and adaptability.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
