Job Description

Heroes of Digital is looking for an SEO Business Development Executive who will serve as a pivotal figure in the agency's growth by combining their technical SEO expertise with strong business development skills. This individual will identify and attract mid-market companies as clients, conduct audits, craft persuasive proposals, and provide tailored SEO strategies. They will also maintain a deep understanding of industry trends to position the agency as a leader in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development

  1. Client Acquisition: Identify and engage mid-market companies as potential clients through outbound and inbound sales strategies.
  2. Lead Generation: Build and nurture a pipeline of qualified prospects using networking, events, referrals, and digital outreach.
  3. Pitching: Conduct effective client presentations to articulate the value of SEO services.
  4. Proposals: Craft custom proposals tailored to the client's goals and challenges, ensuring they align with agency offerings.

Technical Expertise

  1. SEO Audits: Conduct in-depth technical SEO audits for prospective clients, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  2. Strategy Development: Design SEO strategies to drive measurable outcomes, such as increased organic traffic, improved rankings, and ROI.
  3. Competitor Analysis: Analyze competitors to develop unique selling propositions for clients.

Collaboration & Coordination

  1. Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (content, technical SEO specialists, account managers) to create client-specific solutions.
  2. Training & Education: Educate clients and internal stakeholders about SEO trends, best practices, and emerging opportunities.

Market Knowledge

Industry Trends: Stay updated on the latest search engine algorithms, tools, and best practices to inform strategies and client consultations.

Key Qualifications:

  1. Technical SEO Expertise:
  • Deep knowledge of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and more.
  1. Sales and Business Acumen:
  • Strong track record in B2B sales, particularly targeting mid-market companies.
  • Experience in building and managing a sales pipeline.
  1. Communication Skills:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication for client interactions, proposals, and presentations.
  • Ability to translate technical SEO concepts into client-friendly language.
  1. Problem Solving & Analytical Thinking:
  • Capable of analyzing complex SEO challenges and presenting actionable solutions.
  1. Experience:
  • At least 3-5 years in SEO roles with a mix of technical and client-facing responsibilities.
  • Experience in an agency setting is highly preferred.

KPIs and Performance Metrics:

  4. Accuracy and effectiveness of SEO audits and proposals.
