Job Summary
You will identify and pursue new sales opportunities, maintain customer relationships, coordinate with internal teams, and support the execution of sales strategy to grow the business and achieve revenue targets in the construction equipment rental and sales sector.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities by visiting potential construction sites to expand the customer base
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while acquiring new business accounts
- Follow up consistently with clients on quotations, project requirements, and sales leads to secure orders
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries, emails, and requests to ensure customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with the Manager to develop and execute sales strategies aimed at achieving revenue targets
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing to provide actionable market intelligence
- Coordinate with operations, logistics, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction
- Manage credit control for assigned accounts by monitoring outstanding payments and following up on collections
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project progress in the company's sales system or CRM
- Submit weekly sales activity reports detailing customer visits, site visits, quotations issued, projects in the pipeline, and orders secured
- Provide regular updates on market trends, competitor pricing, and customer feedback to support sales performance reviews
Required competencies and certifications
- Own transport to facilitate site visits and customer meetings
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Basic proficiency in English to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain customer relationships
- High adaptability and flexibility to work outdoors and engage with diverse customers
- Preferably O Level, Higher Secondary/Pre-U/A Level, Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or higher
- At least 1 year of working experience in a sales-related role
