Job Summary
We are looking for a driven and commercially focused Technical Sales Engineer to spearhead business growth, develop strategic client relationships, and manage projects from enquiry to execution. This role combines technical consultation, business development, project coordination, and solution selling within a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is confident in client-facing situations, proactive in identifying new business opportunities, and capable of maintaining strong relationships with existing customers through cross-selling and solution-based selling approaches. Candidates with AutoCAD knowledge and project coordination experience will have an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Source and develop new business opportunities.
- Identify potential clients, projects, and market opportunities.
- Conduct client meetings, networking, presentations, and site visits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, and corporate clients.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts through cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
- Understand customer pain points and provide suitable technical solutions and recommendations.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, tender submissions, and technical presentations.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets and KPIs.
- Expand customer portfolio and generate repeat business.
Technical & Project
- Understand project specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
- Provide technical recommendations and solution proposals.
- Coordinate with operations, suppliers, contractors, and project teams.
- Monitor project progress, delivery schedules, and installation timelines.
- Attend site meetings and project discussions when required.
- Support clients with technical clarifications and after-sales service.
- Review technical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD (preferred).
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Technical, Construction, Mechanical, Electrical, Interior Design, or related field
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in technical sales, project sales, or business development.
- Strong business development and account management capabilities.
- Confident communicator with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
- Experience handling project-based sales is highly preferred.
- AutoCAD knowledge or experience interpreting technical drawings is an advantage.
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
- Singapore Class 3 driving licence is an added advantage.
