Job Description:
We are a start-up semiconductor equipment and support solutions company with headquarters in Singapore, looking for a motivated and experienced Sales Engineer for our Singapore operations. This person will have the opportunity to bridge technical expertise and client relationships for new semiconductor manufacturing equipment and after-sales services. In this role, you will partner with senior technical teams from initial client consultation through to proposal preparation, ensuring seamless integration of pre-sales to after-sales support.
Job functions:
The ideal candidate shall be able to perform the following:
Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships within the semiconductor industry, from site measurement and tool inspection to mass production support.
Provide technical consultation to clients, understanding their needs for equipment installation, maintenance, relocation, and parts sales.
Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and cost estimates based on client requirements and service capabilities (e.g., emergency on-call service).
Support sales growth by identifying new business opportunities and promoting one-stop solutions (customized integration, high-quality equipment, and materials).
Coordinate with internal logistics and service teams to ensure fast shipping, strong inventory management, and efficient after-sales support.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients during pilot runs and trial production, gathering feedback to refine technical offerings.
Present technical and commercial documents, reports, and solution overviews to colleagues and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with service locations (regional knowledge required) to ensure rapid on-site assistance within hours as per company service standards.
Job Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree minimum (Engineering field preferred - Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
1-8 years of direct experience in sales engineering, technical account management, or client-facing technical roles (experience in semiconductor equipment or after-sales services is a plus).
Proven ability to develop client relationships and support sales growth in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to interact professionally with diverse internal teams (logistics, service, technical) and external clients.
Self-starting individual with ability to take initiative, multitask, and work independently.
Knowledge of pre-sales to after-sales processes (installation, maintenance, parts sales) is highly desirable.
Ability to navigate ambiguous environments and prioritize effectively.
