About the Role
We are seeking a driven and technically inclined Sales Engineer to support business development and client management within the marine services sector. This role focuses on turbocharger maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, working closely with vessel owners, operators, and ship management companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with ship owners, managers, and key clients
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for turbocharger servicing, repair, and spare parts
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, including quotations for MRO services
- Coordinate closely with internal technical and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Provide practical technical solutions based on customer requirements and equipment conditions
- Actively follow up on leads, quotations, and ongoing jobs to drive conversion and revenue
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
- Support after-sales activities to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 0-5 years of experience in technical sales / service sales
- Experience in marine, ship repair, offshore, or industrial equipment servicing environments
- Exposure to turbochargers, diesel engines, or rotating equipment is an advantage
- Candidates from rotating equipment, oil & gas, or heavy equipment industries are welcome to apply
- Basic understanding of MRO (maintenance, repair & overhaul) workflows
- Strong communication, coordination, and client management skills
- Possess own vehicle and willing to travel within Singapore for client visits
- Open to occasional overseas travel for business purposes
