We are seeking a motivated and technically competent Sales Engineer (Lighting) to join our team. The role combines technical knowledge of lighting systems with sales expertise to provide tailored lighting solutions for clients across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, designers, and contractors
- Understand project requirements and propose suitable lighting solutions
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical submissions
- Conduct product presentations and site visits
- Coordinate with internal teams (design, procurement, project) to ensure smooth project execution
- Provide technical support on lighting specifications, controls, and installation
- Follow up on leads, negotiate contracts, and close sales
- Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Lighting Design, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in lighting sales or engineering (preferred)
- Strong understanding of lighting products, controls (e.g., dimming systems, LED drivers), and basic electrical knowledge
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read lighting plans and technical drawings
- Self-driven, result-oriented, and able to work independently
Preferred Skills
- Experience with lighting design software (e.g., Dialux, AutoCAD)
- Knowledge of smart lighting systems (e.g., KNX, 0-10V, DALI)
- Existing network in construction, interior design, or M&E industry
