Manufacturing(Machinery)
Our client is a Japanese company known for its expertise in manufacturing a wide range of products, including engines, agricultural machinery, construction equipment, energy systems, and marine equipment.
As a Sales Engineer (Industrial Engineering), you are expected to provide high-quality support to distributors and company sales efforts, while understanding current and potential markets. The Sales Engineer contributes knowledge and expertise to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Reports to: Section Manager, Industrial Products
Division/Department: Industrial Products Division
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual sales and marketing strategies for the company's power and industrial products.
- Maintain and strengthen existing customer relationships.
- Prepare and present technical and customer service briefings.
- Conduct market analysis to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitors.
- Advise management on strategic initiatives to achieve organizational goals.
- Support distributors with sales coordination and communication with internal departments.
- Gather market and customer insights to enhance business strategy.
- Coordinate and support sales events and exhibitions.
- Liaise with Japan HQ regarding inquiries, delivery schedules, and product applications.
- Monitor competitor activities and products.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of work.
Requirements & Preferences
(Must)
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or Power Engineering.
- Inexperienced candidates with a strong interest in sales, willing to travel, and comfortable presenting to various backgrounds of clients are welcome
- 1-3 years of sales experience in generator power, industrial chillers, industrial engineering, or marine engines.
- Confident presenter with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in English and Mandarin to liaise with English and Mandarin-speaking counterparts
- Willing and able to travel overseas to Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East regions (1-3 times per month, each trip would be 3 days to a max of 2 weeks).
- Confident to manage technical proposals and collaborate across functions.
