Role Overview
We are seeking a highly driven Sales Engineer with a strong hunter mindset to grow new business in the heavy equipment sector. This role focuses on active prospecting, opening new accounts, and driving revenue growth through direct customer engagement. The ideal candidate is commercially sharp, technically inclined, and comfortable working independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively prospect, identify, and develop new customers in construction, logistics, manufacturing, marine, or related industries
- Drive the full sales cycle: lead generation, site visits, product presentation, proposal, negotiation, and closing
- Conduct on‑site customer visits to understand operational needs and recommend suitable equipment solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision‑makers and influencers
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Prepare quotations, tenders, and commercial proposals
- Work closely with technical, service, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery and after‑sales support
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline updates in CRM
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and product developments
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline
- Minimum 2-5 years of sales experience (open to any industry)
- Proven hunter profile with a track record of new business development
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self‑motivated, resilient, and results‑driven personality
- Comfortable travelling within the West and across customer sites
- Own car required (transport allowance / mileage reimbursement applicable)
