Sales Director Southeast Asia & Australia
Location: Based in Singapore (other Southeast Asia territories or Australia will be considered). This is a hybrid role with regional travel.

Role Purpose
The Sales Director Southeast Asia & Australia will take full ownership of commercial performance across a key growth region. This is a strategic, hands-on role focused on securing new partnerships, expanding existing relationships, and laying the foundation for scalable regional operations.
The right candidate will bring strong technical-sales acumen, a proven track record in winning and growing business within the FMCG supply chain, and the drive to lead regional go-to-market efforts with autonomy and energy.
Key Responsibilities
Market Growth & New Business Development
- Design and execute the commercial growth plan for Southeast Asia and Australia, with a focus on revenue, margin, and long-term strategic positioning.
- Target and convert high-potential customers across the Home Care, Personal Care, and broader FMCG landscape including major multinationals and regional players.
- Build on relationships with existing global and regional accounts to ensure continuity, increased share of wallet, and successful rollout of broader commercial partnerships.
Commercial Engagement & Sales Execution
- Lead value-led sales conversations, presenting innovative technologies as replacements to legacy packaging systems.
- Work closely with technical and product teams to develop compelling proposals tailored to customer challenges.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer innovation sessions.
- Build a strong network among regional procurement, marketing, and technical decision-makers.
Regional Structure & Collaboration
- Define the structure and potential team requirements for regional scale-up.
- Lead hiring and onboarding of future commercial talent as the business grows.
- Partner with global and regional teams across R&D, supply chain, marketing, and product development to ensure seamless customer delivery and tailored innovation.
Forecasting, Reporting & Strategic Input
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, and strategic insights to support wider regional decision-making.
- Contribute to broader Asia-Pacific strategy across segmentation, pricing, product innovation, and investment prioritisation.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Industry Background
- 815 years in regional B2B sales or commercial roles within packaging, components, raw materials, or closely related sectors.
- Experience with FMCG supply chains is essential, including exposure to global or regional brand owners.
Commercial & Technical Capability
- Demonstrated success in securing new customers and scaling regional revenue.
- Combines the persistence and creativity of a hunter with the consultative approach of a long-term partner.
- Capable of discussing complex technologies and translating them into simple commercial value.
- Experience in technical or performance-based sales environments preferred.
Regional Knowledge & Language Skills
- Deep familiarity with Southeast Asia and/or Australia. Experience in India or the GCC is a plus.
- A network within regional FMCG ecosystems is highly desirable.
- Fluent in English. Other regional languages (Mandarin, Bahasa, Thai, Hindi) are an asset.
