Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the food manufacturing, cold storage, wholesale, retail, hospitality, and food service industries.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify market trends and business opportunities.
Prepare strategic business plans and sales forecasts.
Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management
Identify, approach, and secure new corporate customers.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and business partners.
Conduct business presentations, negotiations, and contract discussions.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Sales & Revenue Growth
Develop sales strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
Monitor sales performance and implement initiatives to achieve company sales targets.
Evaluate pricing strategies and commercial opportunities.
Prepare sales reports and performance analysis for management.
Partnership & Market Expansion
Establish strategic partnerships with suppliers, distributors, logistics providers, and corporate clients.
Explore new distribution channels and overseas market opportunities where applicable.
Represent the company at business meetings, networking events, exhibitions, and industry conferences.
Team Leadership
Lead and supervise the Business Development and Sales team.
Set departmental KPIs and monitor team performance.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to team members.
Work closely with Operations, Procurement, Finance, and HR departments to support business objectives.
Financial & Commercial Management
Prepare annual business development budgets and revenue forecasts.
Monitor profitability of new business initiatives.
Review commercial agreements to ensure favourable business terms.
Recommend investment opportunities that contribute to business growth.
Reporting & Compliance
Prepare monthly management reports on business development activities.
Ensure all commercial activities comply with company policies and relevant Singapore regulations.
Report directly to the Managing Director on business performance and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
At least 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial management.
Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Proven track record in achieving sales and business growth targets.
Experience in the food manufacturing, cold chain, logistics, or FMCG industry is an advantage.
