The Role

  • This position will be a driving force behind the expansion of our Human Nutrition business in the region South-East Asia.
  • The products are predominately from Flavor portfolio (sweet flavors, compounds, powder blends, etc.) in the Beverage space. This may include other ingredients from the ADM pantry of ingredients including probiotics, proteins, fibers to name a few.
  • The role acts as the main driver to the Sales team and direct accounts within the region for all related business. Developing the relationship, developing new business opportunities, and understand the market dynamic and competition.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the sales team in South-East Asia (SEA).
  • Plan, direct and coordinate the efforts of local sales team within the organization to achieve targets for revenue, profitability and sales growth of Flavors
  • Lead and manage the sales team, including their development and growth
  • Drive the Human Nutrition growth throughout APAC Region with focus in SEA. This includes building a strong pipeline of opportunities by working closely with Business Manager, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Flavor creation and Application team
  • Leverage on contacts to develop business while establishing and maintaining good relations with key regional accounts directly
  • Trouble shoot, solve customer issues and define unmet needs
  • Manage account receivables to make sure overdue controlled at an acceptable level
  • Work with Commercial Development and Business Leads to develop marketing expansion plans in terms of product offerings and customer base
  • Manage internal as well as external relationships for ADM
  • The position requires approximately 30 - 50% travel
  • Positive, can-do mentality

Your Profile

  • Bachelors/Masters of Science food science or other related education background
  • Above 15 years experiences working as a sales, developing teams and developing accounts
  • Experience with Flavor
  • Strong customer contacts in food and beverage space
  • Strong leadership and team development and account development
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in multinational companies is a plus
  • Experience in handling big accounts is a plus
