POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the VP Sales/Corporate Accounts APAC, our Sales Director - Asia is responsible for the execution of the Asian Sales strategy through sales development and account management of key clients in Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong and Macau.
DUTIES
1) SALES DEVELOPMENT
- Responsible for all growth of the Sales portfolio through the acquisition of new clients for Singapore and the wider Asia Pacific region.
- Responsible for the new business budget of each Sales Manager across APAC.
- Regularly review each Sales Manager's territories and undertake market analysis to identify new business opportunities. Key markets to focus on Singapore and the wider Asia Pacific Hotel market.
- Build a pipeline of contracted future business and target future business
- Project manage group deal rollouts of corporate accounts.
- Proactively lead and manage, the entire Sales Lifecycle from introduction to first product delivery
- Lead all client relationships and build strong rapport with key accounts and stakeholders through Corporate Offices in Singapore
- Lead and deliver sales presentations to decision makers, focusing on hotel and brand alignment between brand and client.
2) TEAM MANAGEMENT/LEADERSHIP
- Support and manage the local team in Singapore to maximise venue growth across Singapore and the Asia Pacific region.
- Ensure Sales team are across all contracts with designated regions across Singapore and the wider regions.
- Lead, motivate and mentor entire Asia Pacific sales team to ensure maximum output of team members and to provide continued support daily.
- Hold regular one on ones and team meetings in person to ensure team are focused and meeting their KPI's across Singapore and Asia Pacific.
- Undertake 6 monthly performance reviews for each team member providing feedback where possible
- Actively engage and collaborate with Executive team internally to ensure business objectives are adhered to and common goals are reachable
3) ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
- Identify upselling opportunities with existing hotel partners to drive revenue growth assess product gaps, renewal opportunities, etc
- Ensure regular touch points/call cycles with key accounts and high revenue clients and be across any personnel changes that may impact the contract strategically schedule meetings, calls, emails, and face to face interactions
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and clients through regular meetings, industry knowledge exposure, and celebrating key client wins
- Provide our Marketing Team key partnership opportunities and collaborate to build events and activations
- Maintain detailed knowledge of VANITY GROUP's brand portfolio and have contingency brand plans in place for hotel renewals
4) SALES ADMINISTRATION
- Complete all administrative tasks to business standards and all administrative procedures are met
- Ensure all sampling is aligned with brand expectations and packing guide
- Responsible for licensing brand targets to be met within their contract period
- Identify brand gaps across our portfolio
- Create and maintain customer folders in Internal Drive
- Ensure Salesforce data has accurate records and detailed information on all client accounts and carry out regular audits across Salesforce to ensure all data is clean and relevant
- When securing New Clients forecast stock to Demand Planner
- When securing New Clients ensure account, hotel, delivery and contact details are accurately set up and sent to SAP/Systems Team
- Review expiring and slow-moving inventory, and identify avenues where this can be sold
5) FINANCIALS
- Review current pricing with Pricing Team and implement CPI increases where necessary
- Identify standard pricing gaps across our portfolio with feedback given to COO/Group CFO and Pricing Manager
- Provide daily report on monthly budget tracking and give feedback on ways to improve and increase revenue
- Develop monthly reporting to track sales to target and revenue growth
- Quarterly presentation of KPIs to Asia Pacific Sales Team based from the Singapore office
- In conjunction with COO, Develop and create team KPI's for Singapore and Asia Pacific
6) STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and motivational spirit with stakeholders at all times
- Working and collaborating with cross functional teams to achieve outcomes and meet deadlines
- Be a confident decision maker in situations of ambiguity and clearly conveying the reasoning for your decision
- Manage upwards, articulating delays/roadblocks to COO/Group CFO with a solution focused approach
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 6 years proven experience in sales or account management role
- Hospitality, Beauty or FMCG backgrounds highly favourable
- Previous proven experience in high pressure sales environment
- Previous team management experience
- Experience delivering sales and product presentations at Executive level
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
- Advanced knowledge of Salesforce
- Advanced skills in MS Office with a focus on excel
- Previous experience in a high SKU/3PL environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced negotiation and influencing skills
