Sales Director – APAC & Middle East/Africa (mostly developing distributor sales channels)

Life Science Research Tools

Location: APAC (Remote) - preference for Singapore/Hong Kong

Travel: 40–50% regional travel

An innovative life science tools company operating are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead commercial growth across the APAC and MEA regions.

You'll be combining strategic leadership with hands-on sales execution. You'll own regional go-to-market strategy, develop key customer relationships, lead technical and commercial resources, and build a high-performing distributor network across a rapidly growing international territory.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead and execute the commercial strategy across APAC & MEA
  • Drive revenue growth through direct sales, key account development and channel expansion
  • Build and manage relationships with leading academic institutions, biotech companies, pharmaceutical organisations and CROs
  • Lead and develop regional sales and application support resources
  • Recruit, onboard and optimise distributor partners across multiple markets
  • Establish best-in-class channel management processes, performance metrics and forecasting disciplines
  • Manage strategic opportunities and complex sales cycles from prospecting through to close
  • Represent the business at conferences, industry events and customer meetings
  • Provide market intelligence and customer insights to influence future commercial strategy

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven commercial leadership experience within life sciences, analytical instrumentation or related scientific markets
  • Demonstrated success managing distributor-led sales channels
  • Experience building and executing regional go-to-market strategies
  • Track record of delivering growth in technically complex, consultative sales environments
  • Strong leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a hands-on player-manager capacity
  • Degree-qualified in a scientific or related discipline (advanced degree advantageous)
