About the Role
As a Sales Development Representative, you will be the first touchpoint for students and parents exploring Sedifly's programs. This role focuses on handling enquiries, understanding prospective client needs, providing clear information, and guiding prospective clients through the early stages of our admissions preparation journey. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys speaking with people, has empathy, and is motivated by helping clients succeed.
Responsibilities
- Inbound enquiry handling: Respond to incoming enquiries via emails, chats, phone calls, and in-person interactions during events when required.
- Client guidance and qualification: Provide accurate information about Sedifly's programs, understand client needs and concerns, and identify program suitability and readiness.
- Funnel conversion support: Guide leads from initial enquiry through the pre-sign-up process, including scheduling initial consultations and coordinating with internal teams.
- CRM and documentation: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, notes, feedback, and follow-ups in the CRM system.
- Process and operational improvements: Follow existing operational guidelines while flagging recurring questions, gaps, or issues for improvement.
- On-ground activities: Attend events, partner visits, and activations when needed.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work with Country and Academic teams to ensure smooth onboarding and handovers.
- Performance accountability: Meet agreed response-time, follow-up, and conversion-related KPIs.
- Adaptability: Expect hands-on and varied tasks we're a startup and every day looks different.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum qualification of GCE N Level / O Level, NITEC/ITE certification, Diploma in Customer Relationship or Service Management, or equivalent.
- Previous experience in relevant roles is preferred.
- Confident, personable, empathetic, and comfortable handling conversations with younger and older generation clients.
- Strong organizational and communication skills in spoken and written English.
- Well-organized, reliable, and able to follow processes consistently.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Hubspot, or similar CRM tools is a plus.
- Motivated, responsible, and willing to learn quickly.
- Belief in education as a force for equity and upward mobility.
- Interest in startups and willingness to learn hands-on.
