Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Office Interior Designer who can handle design conceptualization, drafting, site coordination, and client-facing responsibilities. The ideal candidate should be able to manage projects independently from design proposal to project completion while supporting outdoor sales and client engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Interior Design & Space Planning
- Prepare office layout proposals, space planning, and design concepts
- Develop mood boards, material selections, and presentation drawings
- Produce 2D/3D drawings and detailed shop drawings
- Ensure designs are practical, functional, and aligned with client requirements
Drafting & Technical Coordination
- Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings and technical documentation
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and production teams
- Revise drawings based on site conditions and client feedback
- Ensure compliance with building regulations and safety requirements
Site Coordination & Project Management
- Conduct site measurements and site inspections
- Coordinate installation schedules and monitor project progress
- Attend site meetings and resolve on-site technical issues
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Liaise with contractors, electricians, carpenters, and installers
Sales & Client Management
- Meet clients for project discussions and presentations
- Understand customer requirements and propose suitable solutions
- Conduct outdoor sales visits and business development activities
- Prepare quotations, project proposals, and follow-ups
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
Requirements
- Minimum 2-5 years experience in office interior design or commercial fit-out projects
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D rendering software, and Microsoft Office
- Experience in site coordination and project management
- Able to read technical drawings and prepare detailed drafting
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Sales-oriented mindset with confidence in meeting clients
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Possess Class 3 driving license is an advantage
- Knowledge of furniture, carpentry, office systems, and renovation works preferred
