Sales & Operations Coordinator (Timber & Pallet Industry)
Overview
Responsible for coordinating daily sales, logistics, and operations to ensure smooth delivery of timber and pallet products to customers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Order Processing & Coordination
- Handle customer inquiries and quotations for timber and pallets
- Process sales orders and ensure accuracy of specifications (size, treatment, quantity)
- Coordinate closely with production/warehouse for order fulfillment
2. Logistics & Delivery Planning
- Arrange transport (trucks, side loaders, container deliveries)
- Schedule deliveries and ensure timely dispatch
- Liaise with drivers and customers on delivery timing and site requirements
3. Supplier & Inventory Coordination
- Communicate with suppliers for incoming timber, plywood, or pallets
- Monitor stock levels and update availability
- Ensure materials meet required specifications (e.g. heat-treated, correct species)
4. Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare delivery orders, invoices, and purchase orders
- Ensure export requirements are met (e.g. heat treatment compliance)
- Maintain proper records of transactions and inventory
5. Customer Service
- Follow up on orders, deliveries, and feedback
- Resolve issues such as delays, damages, or incorrect supply
- Build long-term relationships with logistics and industrial clients
- Assist in quoting customer
6. Internal Coordination
- Work closely with sales, warehouse, and operations teams
- Ensure smooth communication between departments
- Support outdoor sales team with backend coordination
Skills Required
- Strong coordination and multitasking ability
- Good communication with customers, drivers, and suppliers
- Basic knowledge of timber, pallet specs, and logistics flow
- Familiarity with Excel / invoicing systems
Working Environment
Office-based with frequent coordination with warehouse and transport teams
Fast-paced, especially with urgent deliveries and project timelines
