We specialize in developing cutting-edge technology to empower ship owners and operators to optimize their operations, improve efficiency, and maximize profitability via data-driven insights within ship performance and voyage optimization – combined with a strong focus on high frequency data.

We expect this position to be working from home – with easy access to travel to meet our partners and customers.

Danelec is already working with a selected partner portfolio, shipowners, and ship management companies around the world.

Your role will be to hunt and develop the business pipeline even further, resulting in deliveries on our ambitious growth targets.

In your role, you will develop business opportunities and take responsibility for Danelec's continued revenue growth in Hong Kong, expand our market share, demonstrate cross-selling opportunities, and build solid data-driven funnel management.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In detail, your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Develope prospecting opportunities for selected hunt list accounts selling Automation and Navigation equipment
  • Develope and execute growth strategies together with the Sales Director
  • Take ownership and drive the sales activities in a competitive market
  • Ensure that all prospective and existing clients are visited physically or online
  • Use CRM system to ensure focus on sales funnel and to ensure maximum closing of deals

WHO ARE YOU & WHAT ARE YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

As Danelec's new Sales & Business Development Manager we expect that you have minimum 3 years of maritime experience e.g. in the shipping industry. You are a proactive and dynamic sales professional with a high drive and a can-do attitude who gets energy in social environments and sets ambitious targets to deliver great results.

We expect you to contribute with the following:

  • Self-driven and result-oriented
  • Strive to be in a performance role and have a well-established network in APAC
  • Place of residence (Singapore)
  • Experience doing Partner Channel Sales min 3 years
  • Experience with regulatory Maritime equipment min 2 years
  • A comprehensive understanding and experience within maritime channel sales model
  • Eager to invest in going the extra mile for our valued partners/customers
  • Proven record of building valuable relationships and getting the prospect matured in securing the business opportunity
  • An in-depth understanding of the constellations between technical managers, shipowners, and charterers in shipping
  • A technical background/understanding or having been exposed to vessel automation and navigation work is a clear advantage
  • You have great communication skills, structured work approach and high data discipline using our supportive sales system tools
