Job Summary
Support the Sales Manager to achieve sales targets by managing customer relationships, developing new business, coordinating order delivery, and providing after-sales support in a steel industry environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Sales Manager in executing sales strategies to meet company targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business
- Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities to expand market reach
- Prepare accurate quotations and promptly follow up on customer enquiries to facilitate sales
- Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders
- Monitor customer orders throughout the process to ensure smooth order fulfillment
- Follow up with customers on outstanding payments to maintain healthy cash flow
- Track steel market prices and provide regular market updates to inform sales strategies
- Resolve customer issues promptly and provide effective after-sales support to enhance customer satisfaction
- Supervise and guide junior sales staff to support team performance when required
- Prepare detailed sales reports and maintain up-to-date customer records for management review
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Management to support business operations
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Business or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in the steel industry
- Proficient communication and negotiation skills applied in customer interactions and sales processes
- Ability to work independently with a strong customer-oriented approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to prepare reports and manage records
