Job Role:
He or she will be the link between chemical manufacturers i.e. suppliers, and Customers i.e. end users. They would be responsible for supporting the trading desk in buying & selling, the chemical products while making sure or monitoring the supply chain and customer service for OTIF.
Core Responsibilities:
- Trade Execution & Sales: Generate and execute trades, identify new business opportunities, and manage both purchase and sales orders for oleochemical products.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including procurement and sales - regional focus on core region growth.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate trade terms, develop pricing strategies, and finalize trade contracts while ensuring adherence to complice.
- Market Analysis: be updated on regular market research to monitor supply and demand trends, pricing shifts, and competitor activities.
- Logistics and OTIF monitoring : Collaborate with operations team and logistics teams to coordinate shipment schedules and ensure products are delivered according to required specifications and on time.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Manage your customers payment terms that are beneficial to the business.
- Trading Support & Execution: Execute purchase and sales orders for chemical products, including Commodity and, specialty chemicals for the personal care and home care industry ( Oleochemicals / personal care ingredient and surfactants)
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering,
- Experience: 4 - 6 years of experience in corporate sales, procurement, within the chemical trading industry, for personal care home care / Oleochemicals.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (specifically data modeling and VBA) and experience with CRM or ERP software (like SAP) / Powerpoint etc.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Languages: Proficiency in English is standard, with additional languages (like Chinese for regional trade) often viewed as a plus.
