Role Overview

This position is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding customer accounts within the assigned region, with cross-regional engagement as required. The role focuses on driving new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, acting as the primary commercial interface for project-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively grow and manage customer accounts through strategic and creative business development initiatives.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customer projects related to systems, components, and controls, ensuring consistent engagement and regular sales interactions.
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales support and technical teams to develop tailored value propositions and commercial quotations for new projects, upgrades, and retrofits, escalating complex matters where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, opportunities, forecasts, and action plans within the company's ERP/CRM systems, including analysis of lost deals and competitive activity.
  • Partner with customer support teams to coordinate service-related activities such as installations, commissioning, and issue resolution when required.
  • Organise and host customer visits, system acceptance activities, and product or technology update sessions at manufacturing sites or designated locations.
  • Maintain strong product and technology knowledge to identify, report, and follow up on any field-related quality or performance issues.
  • Work with finance teams to support credit assessments, payment term discussions, and receivables collection in line with contractual agreements.
  • Gather and relay market intelligence, including customer feedback, competitor activity, and industry developments.

Key Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Approximately 35 years of hands-on exposure within injection molding environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven business development and sales capability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the local business language.
  • Solid background in tooling, molding, or related manufacturing processes.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and customer-focused, with a relationship-driven mindset.
  • Willingness to travel regionally on a regular but short-duration basis.
  • Proficient in standard business productivity tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
