Sale & Purchase Shipbroker

Summary of Job Role:

Working alongside in an existing team of brokers in London and Mumbai to engage in the sale, purchase, newbuilding, and demolition of all types of ocean-going tonnage. Working closely with our Projects desk and supported by a team of analysts to identify commercial opportunities for our clients, whilst also identifying and developing new potential business.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

- Building strong relationships with existing and new clients for enduring business support, and providing information, face to face, via telephone and email.
- Commitment to include face to face relationship building individually and with colleagues.
- Facilitating and executing deals between two parties both directly and co-broking with colleagues to profitably generate income from servicing existing and new clients.
- Analysing market data to understand, shipping flows and market trends, and assimilate market intelligence and trends to support clients, colleagues and internal research.
- Gathering data from the market and help coordinate and update the information within company systems.
- Diligently update proprietary software for efficient internal post fixture commitments.
