Reports To: Project Manager / Country Safety officer

Start Date: 1st February 2026

Role Overview:

Safety Officers to support Hitachi Energy's upcoming substation projects in Singapore. The Safety Officer will work onsite to ensure compliance with all safety standards, conduct inspections, prepare daily/weekly/monthly safety reports, and participate in client safety meetings.The role requires close coordination with Hitachi's project manager and safetyteam. Candidates must have at least 3 years of construction safety experience, valid Singapore safety certifications, and their own transport to travel to sites, including Jurong Island.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily HSE checks
• Conduct/attend toolbox meetings
• Conduct Safety briefings and risk assessments on site.

Submit daily, weekly, monthly safety reports, including:

• Contractor safety Management Reports
• Hazard reports
• Assessments (RA)
• Toolbox Meetings
• Take part in Project Safety Review (PSR) meetings

Participate in:

• Customer's WSH/safety meetings
• Kick-off safety meetings (via Teams/Zoom)

Coordinate with:

• Country safety officer
• Project Manager
• Customer's safety head

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Safety Officer preferably in construction sector
• Singapore safety certifications (WSH certifications required)
• Singapore construction safety standards
• Substation projects
• Have own transport

Preferably has worked with:

• Transmission, substation, switchgear projects
