Safety Officer - LTA

Job Scope

• Developing, implementing and monitoring safety policies, procedures and systems to ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

• Conducting regular site inspections, risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards

• Providing safety training and guidance to project teams to promote a strong safety culture

• Investigating incidents and near-misses, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence

• Liaising with regulatory authorities and clients to ensure transparency and adherence to requirements

• Maintaining comprehensive safety documentation and records

• Continuously seeking ways to enhance safety performance and drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in the construction industry, preferably with experience in LTA projects

• Strong understanding of workplace health, safety and environmental regulations, including the Workplace Safety and Health Act

• Registered Safety Officer is a plus

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate safety risks

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels

• Proactive, detail-oriented and committed to fostering a positive safety culture
