Responsibilities
- Workplace Safety Management
- Implement and enforce Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and procedures on site.
- Conduct site safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
- Ensure workers follow safe work procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions
- Environmental Control & Compliance
- Monitor environmental impact of construction activities including noise, dust, vibration, and waste management.
- Ensure site activities comply with environmental regulations from the National Environment Agency.
- Implement environmental control measures such as dust suppression, proper waste disposal, and pollution prevention.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations from the Ministry of Manpower and the Building and Construction Authority.
- Prepare and maintain required safety and environmental documentation.
- Support safety audits, inspections, and authority visits
- Training & Safety Awareness
- Conduct toolbox meetings (TBM) and safety briefings for workers and subcontractors.
- Provide training on risk assessments, method statements, and emergency procedures.
- Promote safety culture and environmental awareness on site.
Requirements
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) in Singapore.
- Certified Environmental Control Officer (ECO).
- Diploma or Degree in Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- 3-8 years of safety management experience in construction projects.
