SAFETY OFFICER

Job Description

. Develop and monitor Company's safety program and policies

. Liaise closely with Project Managers on workplace safety, health and environmental issues to maintain a high level of safety at the sites.

. Oversee and lead the Safety team & subcontractors in the implementation of Company's safety systems at sites.

. Monitor safety and health aspect of all projects and workers safe work practices.

. Carry out risk assessment for all projects and maintain high level of safety and housekeeping at site.

. Carry out safety orientations and to conduct daily tool box meeting.

. Plan, Administer and implement safety policy and safety procedures in compliance with local safety regulations.

. Familiarize with 3rd party Audit requirements and make preparation for the Audit.

. Discharge duties as relevant in the WSH Act, WSH (Workplace Safety and Health (Officers) Regulations and Environmental Public Health Act

. Implement and maintain proper procedures of WSHE management, administrative and recording system

. Conduct team/ individual WSHE inspections and produce relevant reports and follow-ups

. Organize / conduct WSHE briefing/ training to all employees.

. Investigate every incident/ accident and develop preventive measures.

. Ensure risk assessment control measures are implemented for their activities.

. Be prepared to stop work or to notify the Site Manager in the event of any WSHE deviations.

Requirements

. Minimum Specialist Diploma in Safety, Health and Environment as stipulated in the Singapore Ministry of Manpower's accepted WSH-related qualifications.

. Minimum 5 years of experience in the Construction industry

. Registered WSHO with Ministry of Manpower

. Possess good communication, presentation and Microsoft office skills

. Sufficient knowledge of fire safety, life safety equipment and items

. Detailed understanding and knowledge on HSE Legal and other requirements

. Able to organize and carry out HSE-related trainings

. Good time management, leadership qualities and skills

. Have a passion for safety

. With driving license preferred

. Additional relevant certification preferred:

- Certification in Lifting Supervisors Safety Course

- Certification in Supervision of Metal Scaffold Erection Course

- Certification in Confined Space Safety Assessor Course

- ECO / ECMO
