We are looking for a Safety Officer who is able to join immediately for an on-going project in Tuas (Finger Pier) that is expected to complete in Nov / Dec 2025.
Responsibilities
The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company safety standards. He is also responsible for workers safety on site. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure compliance with statutory acts, regulations, codes of practice, and company safety rules.
- Liaise with Client on HSE matters, ensuring timely submission of mandatory documents.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify, rectify, and prevent unsafe practices, conditions, and equipment failures.
- Attend all site safety meetings and site walk.
- Lead and supervise the site safety team.
- Work closely with project team to eliminate safety, health, and environmental hazards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Risk Management system.
- Investigate incidents/accidents, recommend corrective measures, and follow up on implementation and effectiveness.
- Ensure validity of Permit-to-Work (PTW) documents and other supporting records.
- Maintain accurate site safety, health, and environmental records.
- Promote a strong safety culture through supervision, training, and enforcement of safe work practices.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health, Safety Officers Course, or equivalent qualification.
- Registered Safety Officer with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in the Construction or Marine Industry.
- Possess own transport due to site inaccessibility.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and resourceful.
- Independent, diligent and highly motivated with good interpersonal skills.
- A self-starter and achiever with the ability to solve problems.
