Formulate and execute strategic EHS plans that support and advance the organization's business objectives and operational priorities.
Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with all relevant local safety regulations and ISO standards.
Provide strategic direction on safety management systems and continuous improvement across all projects.
Supervise and guide Safety Officers and site teams to ensure consistent application of safety practices.
Advise Project Managers and Senior Management on EHS issues, trends, and corrective actions.
Review and approve safety plans, method statements, and risk assessments prepared by site safety personnel.
Lead and coordinate safety audits, inspections, and investigations into accidents or incidents, ensuring timely reporting and close-out of corrective actions.
Liaise with government agencies and statutory bodies on all EHS-related matters, licenses, and renewals.
Plan and organize safety awareness programs, training sessions, and campaigns to strengthen safety culture.
Analyse EHS performance metrics and prepare management reports for review.
Oversee proper documentation and record-keeping of all safety activities, certifications, and compliance requirements.
Participate in management reviews and support continual improvement of the EHS management system.
Handle ad-hoc EHS assignments as directed by senior management.
Requirements
Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Recognized safety certifications such as ISO 45000 Internal Auditor
Registered WSHO with Ministry of Manpower & Registered FSM with Singapore Civil Defence Force
Registered Environmental Control Officer with National Environment Agency
At least 8-10 years of EHS experience in construction, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
Strong understanding of local safety laws and ISO management systems.
Excellent communication, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able towork collaboratively with internal teams and external regulatory authorities.
