Responsibilities
- Lead daily toolbox and weekly mass toolbox meetings to promote safety awareness and compliance on site
- Perform daily safety inspections and document findings with corrective actions in safety inspection checklists submitted to main and subcontractor safety departments
- Collaborate with main contractor safety personnel through joint safety inspections, prepare detailed safety reports, and participate in scheduled coordination meetings
- Calculate and submit daily manpower reports to support project tracking and resource allocation
- Identify unsafe acts and conditions on project sites and recommend practical measures to mitigate risks and enhance workplace safety
- Partner with risk assessment teams to develop and implement risk assessments prior to commencing new tasks
- Create, evaluate, and enforce workplace risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment
- Deliver in-house safety training programs for new employees to ensure understanding of safety protocols
- Conduct job-specific safety trainings such as fire drills and safe use of fall arrestors to address task-related hazards
- Investigate incidents thoroughly, prepare comprehensive incident reports, and propose solutions to prevent recurrence of safety breaches
- Stay current with workplace safety and health regulations and codes of practice, ensuring timely updates to the Project Manager and implementation of regulatory changes
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in telecommunication or building construction related fields or equivalent
- Ability to work night shifts, overtime, and weekends as required
- Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health Level B
- Qualified Work At Heights (WAH) Assessor
- Qualified Work At Heights (WAH) Supervisor
- Qualified Confined Space Safety Assessor
- Qualified Occupational First Aider
- Risk Management BizSafe Level 2 certification
- Building and Construction Safety System (BCSS) certification
- Personal Fall Protection Equipment Inspection Course certification
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Class 3 driving license with familiarity of Singapore roads (optional)
