Job Summary
Join our high-growth startup as a Safety Coordinator and playa key role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by supporting workplace safety initiatives and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor safety and health aspect of all projects and workers safe work practices.
- Conduct daily site inspection on work activities to ensure implementation of safe work procedures.
- Investigate accidents / incidents / dangerous occurrences and recommend remedial measures to prevent any recurrences.
- Carry out risk assessment for all projects and maintain high level of safety and housekeeping at site.
- Carry out safety orientations and to conduct daily toolbox meeting.
- Plan, Administer and implement safety policy and safety procedures in compliance with local safety regulations.
- Responsible for Internal Audit for Renewal/Surveillance of ISO and Bizsafe Star.
- Ensure compliance of operations with Workplace Safety and Health Act and all its subsidiary and statutory legal legislations.
- Identify any unsafe condition or unsafe work practice and recommend / implement reasonably practicable measures to correct the situation.
- Inspection of project materials delivered by supplier to ensure conformity and arrange for testing if required
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure safe work planning and execution.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Superior.
- Working Days: Mon to Fri & Alternative Sat
Job Requirements
- Possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Engineering / Construction, BCSS, Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B), Work-At-Height Course for Supervisor Certificate and Risk Management Certificate.
- Possess a valid registration with MOM as Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in Engineering and Construction Industry.
- Familiar with construction site safety inspections and regulations.
- A good team player who is hands-on and meticulous in work.
