Safety Coordinator

• Implement and monitor Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures, and programs.
• Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, relevant regulations, and company safety requirements.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify workplace hazards.
• Carry out risk assessments and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare investigation reports.
• Organize and conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and WSH training for employees and contractors.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safe work practices.
• Coordinate emergency response plans, fire drills, and first aid arrangements.
• Maintain WSH documentation, including inspection records, incident reports, permits, and training records.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities on WSH matters.
• Monitor contractor compliance with site safety requirements.
• Support WSH audits and implement corrective actions arising from inspections or audits.
• Prepare monthly WSH reports and safety performance statistics for management.
• Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other safety-related duties as assigned.
