We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our Site WSH Department. This role focuses on ensuring workplace safety, monitoring compliance with WSH regulations, conducting site inspections, and supporting the project team in implementing safe work practices on high-rise construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify unsafe conditions or unsafe acts on the work site and recommend appropriate corrective measures
- Assist the Occupier of the worksite in implementing reasonable and practicable safety measures
- Liaise with different departments on all safety and health matters
- Conduct regular site inspections and take appropriate corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Regulations and other legislative requirements
- Enforce all WSH requirements and in-house rules and regulations
- Assist in investigating and reporting accidents or incidents, and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Conduct safety briefings, trainings, meetings, and time-outs for the workforce
- Follow up on the submission of Safety, Health, and Environment(SHE) documents and maintain records
- Monitor and report on Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) performance at the work site
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Certificate in Advanced Certificate in WSH Level B and/or other relevant safety certifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in high-rise building projects
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work rotating shifts as required
