SAFETY COORDINATOR

Key Responsibilities

. Ensure all site activities comply with applicable workplace safety legislation, company policies, and management system requirements, including ISO 45001 and BizSAFE standards.

. Conduct routine site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend effective control measures.

. Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and , interview involved personnel, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

. Prepare and submit accident and incident reports to the Administration and relevant authorities where required.

. Develop, maintain, and update safety management system documentation, including Safe Work Procedures (SWPs), Risk Assessments (RAs), Method Statements (MS), audit records, and other compliance documents.

. Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, incident statistics, and regulatory compliance documentation.

. Prepare safety reports, presentations, training materials, and data analysis using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

. Coordinate and conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and awareness programmes for employees and subcontractors.

. Provide technical safety support to engineers, contractors, workers, and clients, including conducting risk and impact assessments for project activities.

. Coordinate with project teams on electrical safety requirements and ensure compliance with relevant statutory regulations and company procedures.

. Plan, coordinate, and perform internal audits for ISO Management Systems and BizSAFE Star certification renewal.

. Monitor the effectiveness of the Safety Management System (SMS) and recommend continual improvement initiatives.

. Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, consultants, and subcontractors on health, safety, and environmental matters when required.

. Perform any other duties assigned by management in support of the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) objectives.

. Need to work night shifts to support project and operational needs.
