We are looking for a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) to supervise construction works on site and ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and authority requirements.
Responsibilities
- Carry out daily site supervision and inspection of construction works.
- Check workmanship, materials, dimensions, levels and setting out against approved drawings and specifications.
- Witness and record site inspections, tests and material checks.
- Monitor contractor's progress, quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain proper site records, inspection reports, daily reports and photographic records.
- Highlight discrepancies, defects, unsafe practices and non-compliant works to the Resident Engineer / Qualified Person / Project Team.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, subcontractors and site personnel.
- Assist in reviewing shop drawings, method statements and site documentation where required.
- Ensure rectification works are properly carried out and verified before closure.
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building or related discipline.
- Registered / accredited RTO with IES-ACES will be an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant site supervision experience in building or civil engineering projects.
- Good knowledge of construction drawings, site practices and authority requirements.
- Able to work independently and communicate effectively with project teams.
- Responsible, detail-oriented and committed to site quality and safety.
