Job Summary
The RTC Technician is responsible for carrying out mechanical overhaul activities, including disassembly, cleaning, grinding, assembly, repair of parts, and conducting functional testing on machines. This role requires strong handson mechanical skills and the ability to follow technical instructions and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble, clean, grind, assemble, repair, and test machines following operation manuals and safety procedures to ensure proper machine function
- Use prescribed tools and equipment safely and effectively to complete mechanical overhaul tasks
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, work instructions, and specifications to maintain accuracy and quality in repairs
- Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment by adhering to housekeeping and safety protocols
- Support additional workshop tasks such as mechanical processing, welding, electrical wiring, and testing as needed
Required competencies and certifications
- Hold at least one certified operation license, such as for lathe, grinding machine, or welding
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- NITEC or higher with relevant experience in assembly and repair of large mechanical equipment in manufacturing or workshop environments
- Minimum 5 years of field servicing experience in the mechanical industry
- Experience in multiple trades including mechanical processing, assembly, welding, electrical wiring, and testing
- Possess a low-voltage electrician certificate
- Ability to operate a forklift
