The Scope:
A Rooftop Bar Host/Hostess is responsible to deliver an excellent Guest experience while working to achieve departmental targets. Responsible for anticipating the needs of attending patrons, maintain the established standard of service, and to adhere to the policies and procedures of the hotel.
Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet and welcome guest upon arrival at the rooftop bar
- Answering of phone calls from the rooftop
- Efficiently manage reservations, ensuring prompt and accurate seating preference and requirements
- Ensure that a high product standard and consistency is maintained all of the time
- Maintain a harmonious relationship with other members of the service team
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring the rooftop presents an inviting and polished atmosphere for guest
- Maintain an acceptable degree of knowledge to the selling product, rooftop layout and seating capacity to coordinate table arrangements to maximize guest satisfaction
- Stay up-to-date with rooftop bar promotions, menu offerings and special events
- Keep track of guest wait times, providing accurate estimates and regular updates to inform guests of their seating status
- Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure compliance of brand standards
- Strive to achieve departmental targets
- Work collaboratively with the service team to ensure seamless communication, promptly addressing guest concerns or special requests
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
- Comply with local licensing laws
- Participate in all rostered theoretical and on the job training sessions
- Assist with other assigned task as needed during peak hour.
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
Qualification:
- Minimum Secondary 4 education with GCE O level credits in a minimum 3 subjects
- Valid WSQ Basic Food Hygiene certification
Experience:
- At least 1 - 2 years experience working in the Food & Beverage industry or similar capacity
- Have a high standard of hospitality and service standard
Key Competencies:
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environroment
- Great organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven objection handling, prospecting and negotiation skills.
