Job Summary
Mentor and guide students in the National Robotic Competition (NRC) to develop their technical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills by teaching robotics concepts and supporting innovative robotic solution design and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Guide and coach students to prepare effectively for the National Robotic Competition (NRC) by developing competition-ready robotic projects
- Teach robotics concepts including building mechanical structures, programming software, and system design to enhance students technical skills
- Support students in brainstorming and developing practical solutions to real-world problems using robotics
- Mentor students through project planning, prototyping, testing, and iterative improvement to refine their robotic designs
- Provide training to students in presentation skills, design thinking, and problem-solving strategies to enhance communication and innovation
- Monitor students progress regularly and deliver constructive feedback to foster continuous learning and improvement
- Create and maintain a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment that encourages creativity and collaboration
- Collaborate closely with the academic team to ensure training aligns with competition requirements and standards
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience teaching or coaching students in robotics or related fields
- Familiarity with robotics platforms such as LEGO, Arduino, and micro:bit to support hands-on learning
- Strong programming knowledge in Scratch, Python, or C++ to teach coding effectively
- Prior experience participating in or mentoring teams for robotics competitions like NRC, WRO, or VEX
- Demonstrated problem-solving and project management skills to guide student teams efficiently
- Ability to inspire creativity and independent thinking in students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate learners

- Working Hours: Part-time, weekend, or flexible schedule depending on competition timetable
